Sorry for the lack of updates everyone! I'll try to update my DA over the next few days, but if you're really missing me, the best way to follow my art is to become a fan on my facebook page. I've been posting works in progress, preliminary sketches, photos from the classes I'm teaching, etc.

hi there I was browsing through your beautiful watercolors and your koi fishes are wonderful! I was wondering if you could give me some advice on how to draw them with watercolor. I am making a poem that would involve 2 koi fish and would like to draw them before the 11th of july.

I learned most of what I know from books actually, so I'd recommend going to the library and looking for Chinese Brush Painting, Sumi-E, etc. There's all kinds of really good books on it... I don't have much advice except practice and try not to get frustrated! :D
